Overall I am relatively happy about how my final cover and double page spread has turned out to get to this point I experimented a lot with different lighting perspectives, different camera focusing, different camera angles, portrait and landscape perspectives and different background types to get to this stage, despite lots of experimentation and trial and error there are still a few imperfections of my final two photos that I hope will be re tooled and fixed in Photoshop. Here I am going to show you the different stages of the photo shoot and how it has evolved commenting on most of them. First of all was my cover photograph.

This is the very first image I took as you can see there are a number of things wrong with it. Firstly the white
background does not completely cover the two models part of the classroom wall can be seen getting away from
the seriousness of the topic. Secondly the models are not placed in the center. Also the image is landscape, the cover
image has to be portrait so this definitely can't be used. Finally the light on the left models face is far to bright, I do want to have more lighting coming from the left side but only a subtle amount. These
reasons are why this image need to be re shot. |
 |
This is a much better but it still the lighting is
wrong, the covers models are far two dark and
there are no differences in light in the photo
making the image look much plainer. Secondly
on this both of the cover models are smiling
again detracting from the serious message of my
magazines. |

| Although this image is better than the first, first of all the lighting coming in on the left side of the cover model is still to bright, it needs to be reduced in order to create a better quality image. Secondly I don't want the cover models legs in only from the waist upwards plus I want them in the frame fully. Finally the cover models are smiling going against my magazine articles serious message. |

Here is my final front cover image, the cover models are photographed from the waist up, the lighting is well
done, the facial expressions are serious, the two controllers can be seen easily and the image is portrait. Creating
a good final image for my magazines front cover. The lighting on this image should make any editing on the photo
more visible. |
